I’m Oreoluwa

But you can call me Ore.

Welcome to one of my spaces on the interwebs.

I’m a woman on a mission to live my life with verve, a sense of adventure and a purpose beyond myself.

I am a social entrepreneur and in my downtime, you can catch me with a book in-hand, spending time with my family (and especially marveling at my children’s unbridled curiousity about the world), listening to podcasts or consuming copious amounts of TV shows and films online.

Hi there, I’m Oreoluwa

W.TEC Girls Technology Camp

About

I am a STEM & Gender Specialist with 20 years’ professional experience. My career has straddled Technology, Gender and Social Entrepreneurship across two continents. I founded a social enterprise focused on building the next generation of female technology creators, entrepreneurs and leaders called the Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC).

Through my work, I have encouraged over 31,000 girls and women across Nigeria to pursue STEM careers and supported them in using technology confidently to increase their economic power and ability to speak about issues affecting their lives. Learn more about my work with STEM.

I nurture my creative side through Patabah Books, a family-run bookshop in Lagos, where I am a Director. I also host the podcast The Other Room, where I speak with women who have found purpose in their work.

More recently, I started coaching early-stage entrepreneurs – especially women – who identify as introvert or reserved – with the skills and confidence to thrive professionally.

I love to read, eat and travel (well, pre-pandemic) and I would love to talk to you if your interests intersect with mine.
